Summer Craze on Route 66

Summer Craze on Route 66
This tutorial was written by Jenny on 8/12/2012. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the licensed artwork of Alex Prihodko. This tube is available for purchase at PicsForDesign (PFD).

Supplies Needed:
1 tube of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using Rock N Roll Summer FTU by Scraps Dimensions)
Font of choice (I'm using Fontdinerdotcom Sparkly and CliveBarker)
gemsmask-72 HERE

Open a new canvas 600 x 600 and flood fill white.

New raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper of choice into selection, select none, apply mask.

Image, canvas size, 800 x 800 and flood fill any empty space with white.

Add the Diner (the bottom portion which is actually the top layer when you open it), resize 65%.

Add stars with bling of choice and resize to your liking, placing them behind the diner and upward.

Add flower doodle, place above stars with bling and duplicate, arrange them both to your liking by mirroring/flipping, be sure to resize too.

Add records, route 66 sign and soda, resize and arrange to your liking above the diner setting.
I placed mine at the bottom right.

Add musical notes on top of the diner setting, resize, selections, select all, float, defloat, modify, expand by 2, new raster layer, flood fill white, move below, add noise, select none, add drop shadow.

Add tube, resize, add drop shadow and place to your liking.

Now it's time to crop down your tag, resize if needed.

Add copyright/licensing info and text and you're ready to save.
Be sure to save a blank for future use.

If you'd like to save as a transparent PNG layer be sure to hide the white background layer first.

I hope you've enjoyed my new tutorial. Please show your appreciation by leaving some love in my C-Box and/or voting for me at 1Award (link to the right). I'd love to see your results.
