Star Quality

Star Quality
This tutorial was written by Jenny on 7-3-2012. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the licensed artwork of Ismael Rac. I am licensed through Artistic Minds Inc. (AMI) for these tubes. They are no longer in business so please check out his tubes HERE.

Supplies Needed:
2 tubes of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using FTU 4th of July by Lacarolita's Designz)
Star Quality Template by Tonya HERE
Mask of choice (I'm using mask73 by Aqua HERE)
Font of choice (I'm using American Bush Shame)

Open template, hide credit layer, shift d to duplicate, close original.

Image, canvas, change size to 800 x 800

Select background layer, flood fill white.

New raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper3 into selection, select none, apply mask.

Shape background, you could recolor to match but I did selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, flood fill, select none, add noise, hide original layer.

Repeat on Shape layer.

Again on weirdass shape.

Again on Glitter Oval Background.

Select Oval layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper2 as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, do not deselect, now paste your close up tube as a new layer, place to your liking, click delete, deselect, duplicate tube a couple of times, see my tag, merge the tube layers together, drop opacity to 50%. You can add a texture above this layer if you so wish. Play around till you get something fun.

Recolor dotted oval layer, add noise.

Add balloons, resize to your liking, rotate if needed, I placed mine to the left.

Star Background1 recolor.

Star1, selections, float, defloat, copy & paste paper1 as a new layer, resize 50%,selections, invert, delete, do not deselect, paste tube as a new layer, invert, delete on tube layer, select none, drop opacity to 50% on tube.

Star Background 2 recolor.

Star2, repeat same steps from Star1.

Add a couple of glitterstars of choice, resize and place to your liking.

Now add fireworks, place toward the right, see my tag if needed.

Add tube, resize if needed, place to the right of the canvas, add drop shadow if you'd like.

Wordart background, recolor.

Wordart, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper of choice as a new layer, resize if needed, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Now you will want to crop your tag down or resize.
Be sure the dpi is correct if using a licensed tube.

Add copyright and licensing info.

Add text. Don't forget to save a blank in case you need it later.
