Beach Bum

Beach Bum
This tutorial was written by Jenny on 7/31/2012. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the licensed artwork of VeryMany. This tube is available for purchase at PicsForDesign (PFD).

Supplies Needed:
1 tube of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using FTU Summer Lovin by Created by Jill)
*This kit is no longer available so please use kit of choice if you don't already have it.*
Font of choice (I'm using James Fajardo)
WSL Mask222 by Weescotslass

Open a new canvas 600 x 600 flood fill white.

New raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper03 into selection, select none, apply mask.

Image, canvas size, 800 x 800 and flood fill any empty space with white.

Add beads above mask layer, resize to your liking, duplicate and flip, see my tag for placing.

Add frame 1, resize 85%.

Add paper of choice as a new layer, place below frame, using magic wand select inside frame, selections, modify, expand by 4, selections, invert, delete on paper layer, do not deselect, add waves, delete, select none, duplicate, move up just a bit, keep both under frame.

Select frame.

Add seagrass to the right of the frame, resize to your liking.

Add flowers, resize to your liking and place around the seagrass area.

Add lantern, resize to your liking and place next to flowers. Lantern should be the top layer.

Add popsiclestick, resize to your liking, free rotate just a bit, see my tag for placement.

Add ribbon, resize to your liking, place toward the bottom.

Add umbrella to the left side of the frame, free rotate approx 15 degrees to the left, add drop shadow, resize to your liking.

Add tube, resize if needed, add drop shadow, place to your liking.

Now it's time to crop down your tag, resize if needed.

Add copyright/licensing info and text and you're ready to save.
Be sure to save a blank for future use.

If you'd like to save as a transparent PNG layer be sure to hide the white background layer first.

I hope you've enjoyed my new tutorial. Please show your appreciation by leaving some love in my C-Box and/or voting for me at 1Award (link to the right). I'd love to see your results.
