Fun In The Sun



Fun In The Sun
This tutorial was written by Jenny on 5/22/2011. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the artwork of Lisa Cree. You need a license to use her artwork. I have a license through MyTagArt.

Supplies Needed:
1 tube of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using Fun In The Sun PTU by Shal's World which I'm licensed to through MyTagArt)
Font of choice (I'm using Charlie Brown M54)


Open a new canvas 600 x 250

Copy & Paste paper20 as a new layer.

Copy & Paste tube as a new layer, place to the left, resize if needed, duplicate, adjust, gaussion blur 3, right click, properties, overlay, drop opacity to 65, add drop shadow to original tube layer.

Copy & Paste element13 (palm tree) as a new layer, mirror, place behind tube and add drop shadow.

Copy & Paste element1 (coconut) as a new layer, resize 50% twice, place to the left of the tube.

Copy & Paste wordart of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, place below palm tree layer, see my tag, add starfish around it.

Copy & Paste element11 (sand) as a new layer, place downward, see my tag.

Copy & Paste element12 (greenery) as a new layer, resize to your liking, mirror, place to the right.

Copy & Paste flower of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, mirror, place above the greenery layer, add drop shadow.

Add seashell to the top of the flower, resize to your liking.

Merge all visible.

Selections, select all, float, defloat, selections, modify, contract, selections, invert, copy & paste paper of choice as a new layer, delete, select none, add noise, add drop shadow.

Add copyright info and text and you're ready to save.

To create the matching avatar simply open a new canvas 150 x 150 copy & paste from your canvas what you want to show up on the avatar, repeat the same steps for the border, add copyright info and you're ready to save.
