Fun In The Sun



Fun In The Sun

Supplies Needed:
1 tube of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using Fun In The Sun PTU by Shal's World which I'm licensed to through MyTagArt)
Font of choice (I'm using Charlie Brown M54)


Open a new canvas 600 x 250

Copy & Paste paper20 as a new layer.

Copy & Paste tube as a new layer, place to the left, resize if needed, duplicate, adjust, gaussion blur 3, right click, properties, overlay, drop opacity to 65, add drop shadow to original tube layer.

Copy & Paste element13 (palm tree) as a new layer, mirror, place behind tube and add drop shadow.

Copy & Paste element1 (coconut) as a new layer, resize 50% twice, place to the left of the tube.

Copy & Paste wordart of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, place below palm tree layer, see my tag, add starfish around it.

Copy & Paste element11 (sand) as a new layer, place downward, see my tag.

Copy & Paste element12 (greenery) as a new layer, resize to your liking, mirror, place to the right.

Copy & Paste flower of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, mirror, place above the greenery layer, add drop shadow.

Add seashell to the top of the flower, resize to your liking.

Merge all visible.

Selections, select all, float, defloat, selections, modify, contract, selections, invert, copy & paste paper of choice as a new layer, delete, select none, add noise, add drop shadow.

Add copyright info and text and you're ready to save.

To create the matching avatar simply open a new canvas 150 x 150 copy & paste from your canvas what you want to show up on the avatar, repeat the same steps for the border, add copyright info and you're ready to save.

Supplies Needed:
2 tubes of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using Earth Day Freebie by Polkadot Scraps)
Font of choice (I'm using Scrap Cursive)
CBN_Template44 by Creative By Nature (links are on the right side of her blog)
DBV Mask 48 Designs by Vaybs


Open template, hide credits and wordart, shift d to duplicate, close original.

Unhide background layer, new raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper10 into selection, select none, apply mask, move upward just a bit, duplicate, flip.

Recolor Raster5 to match your supplies.

Select Copy of Vector1, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper4 as a new layer, resize 65%, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Copy & Paste element1 (leaf) as a new layer, resize 55%, add drop shadow, place upward (see my tag), duplicate, mirror, flip.

Copy & Paste frame1 as a new layer, resize 75%, add drop shadow.

Select the next Copy of Vector1, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper1 as a new layer, resize 65%, selections, invert, delete, keep selected, copy & paste close up tube as a new layer, place to your liking, delete on tube layer, select none, drop opacity on tube to around 75 or change blend mode to soft light, hide original temp layer.

Select merged layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper13 as a new layer, resize 65%, selections, invert, delete, select none, add drop shadow, hide original.

Now add any other accessories such as flowers and ribbons, see my tag, arrange to your liking, resizing as needed.

Copy & Paste main tube as a new layer, resize if needed, add drop shadow.

Add copyright info and text and you're ready to save.

Supplies Needed:
1 tube of choice
Scrapkit of Choice (I'm using Big Top PTU by Nitwit Collections)
Font of choice (I'm using KF Carnival)
WSL_Mask22 by Weescotslass

I'm assuming that you're using the same kit as I am but please understand that you should be able to complete this tut using any scrapkit you have.
If using the same kit as I am you will notice the kit is large as it's a full size kit. When I say resize, in most cases I have resized 50, 50, 75 each time.

Open template, hide credits, wordart and shift d to duplicate, close original.

Flood fill background with white, new raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper of choice into selection, select none, apply mask.

Select Right Purple Circle, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste diamondsblue paper as a new layer, resize, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Repeat on each of the following changing the paper each time:
Left Purple Circle
Black Rectangle
Black Rectangle
Right Pink Circle
Left Pink Circle
Left White Circle
Right White Circle
White Circle
Pink Circle

Recolor Purple Circle to match.

Copy & Paste tube as a new layer, move to top, resize if needed, duplicate, adjust, gaussion blur 3, right click, properties, blend mode overlay, opacity 75, add drop shadow to original layer.

Copy & Paste all the accessories and place them to your liking.

Add wordart, resize as needed.

Resize canvas or crop to your liking.

Add copyright info and text and you're ready to save.

In the example at the end of this tut I'm using licensed artwork of Hannah Lynn. You need a license to use her artwork. I am licensed through MyTagArt.

Supplies Needed:
1 tube of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using Gone Fishin by NitWit Collections- It is PTU)
Font of choice (I'm using BlackJack)
Aqua & Cakes Starter1 Template HERE

I'm assuming that you're using the same kit as I am but please understand that you should be able to complete this tut using any scrapkit you have.

Select Raster 7, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste fish paper of choice as a new layer, resize, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Repeat on the following layers using a different paper of choice each time:
Raster8
Raster4
Copy of Raster4
Raster3
Raster9

Recolor Raster 5 and Raster10 to match your supplies

Copy & Paste your tube of choice as a new layer, resize if needed, add drop shadow and place to the left, see my tag.

Now either duplicate that layer or copy & paste another tube of choice as a new layer, mirror, place on the new Raster9 layer, select old raster9 layer, selections, select all, float, defloat, invert, delete on tube layer, select none, recolor tube one color of choice, now merge these 3 layers together, move to the top of the canvas, resize 75%.

Copy & Paste rope hook frame as a new layer, resize, place below the above layer, add drop shadow.

Add string bow, resize and place to your liking.

Add phrase of choice, place at the bottom of your main tube, resize, add drop shadow.

Now add any other accessories you'd like, resize and arrange next to the framed tube on the right.

Add bubbles, water splash and such and arrange to your liking.

Resize or crop down the canvas to your desire.

Add copyright info and text and you're now ready to save.

Supplies Needed:
1 Tube of choice
Scrapkit of Choice (I'm using MerMay Exclusive Scrapkit by Shal's World- This kit was an Exclusive available only to MyTagArt forum members and they are no longer open)
WSL_Mask302 by Weescotslass
Temp3 by Vicki HERE
Font of Choice (I'm using SassyFrass ROB for the name)

Open template, hide credits and hearts, shift d to duplicate, close original.

New raster layer, flood fill white, move to bottom, new raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper of choice into selection, select none, apply mask.

Select Raster 7, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper15 as a new layer, resize 85%, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Select Raster 6, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper12 as a new layer, resize 75%, selections, invert, delete, select none, add noise, hide original.

Select Raster 1, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper4 as a new layer, resize 65%, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Select Raster 2, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper3 as a new layer, resize 65%, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Select Raster 3, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper10 as a new layer, resize 75%, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Copy & Paste tube of choice as a new layer, place directly above paper10, use selction tool to remove any excess sticking out from the frame, add drop shadow, right click on tube and change the blend mode to overlay.

Select Raster 4, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper12 as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, select none, add noise, add drop shadow, hide original.

Copy & Paste the tube again as a new layer and place to the right, resize if needed, add drop shadow.

The tube I'm using came with extras so I used the fishies as well.

Copy & Paste Element17 as a new layer, mirror, resize 85%, add drop shadow, see my tag for placement.

Now it's just a matter of adding accessories....add shells, starfish, chest, ribbons, ect resize and arrange to your liking, see my tag for placement.

Resize canvas.

Add copyright info and text and you're now ready to save.

Supplies Needed:

1 tube of choice (I used 2 by Jennifer L. Nilsson and also used some extras of hers that were included in other tubes of hers from MyTagArt)

Font of choice (I'm using Marnie Regular)

BirdVillageHomes, GardenKnomesMushrooms,GardenPotsofClay,
GardenWheelBarrow,GardenRake,GardenSeedsSet,
MaidenHairFern all from Rainbow Coffi


Open a new canvas 650 x 550 and flood fill white.

New Raster Layer, flood fill with color of choice, apply mask, add noise of choice.

Copy & Paste BirdVillageHomes as a new layer, resize 85%, use your eraser to remove the rainbow coffi copyright, place upwards (see my tag), add drop shadow.

Open MaidenHairFern, use your selection tool to selection the larger portion on the right, copy & paste as a new layer on your canvas, place upward, behind the BirdVillageHomes, resize if needed, add drop shadow, duplicate, mirror, flip.

If you're using the same tubes as me then you'll need to copy & paste the bird tube as a new layer, resize and place on top of the BirdVillageHomes, add drop shadow.

Open GardenSeedsSet and select your choice of seeds with your selection tool, copy & paste onto your canvas, see my tag for placement, resize to your liking.

Copy & Paste GardenRake as a new layer, flip, resize if needed, add drop shadow, place next to the BirdVillageHomes.

Copy & Paste GardenWheelBarrow as a new layer, resize to your liking, place downward and to the left, add drop shadow.

Add GardenPotsofClay around the GardenWheelBarrow, resize to your liking.

Add GardenKnomesMushrooms mixing them in with the pots, resize to your liking.

Copy & Paste your main tube as a new layer, resize if needed, place opposite the wheel barrow, add drop shadow.

I added several extras from other tubes of Jennifer L. Nilsson's from MyTagArt such as butterflies, flowers, ect and placed them throughout the canvas.

Merge visible.

Resize canvas if you'd like.

Add text and you're ready to save.
