Lucky Me

Lucky Me
This tutorial was written by Jenny on 3/8/2011. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the artwork of Renee Lavoie. You need a license to use her artwork. I have a license through MyTagArt.
Please check her site for new licensing information.

*Please note that the main tube to the left was a TART Forum Exclusive. In order to become licensed to this tube/image you must have been a forum member at the MyTagArt Forum and redeemed the required amount of TART Points in exchange for this tube/image.

Supplies Needed:
2-3 tubes of choice and 1 image of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using FTU Lucky Me and Lucky Me 2011 by Delicious Scraps)
Template81 by Simone at Scrappy Bit of Fun
Font of choice (I'm using Eight Fifteen)

Open template, hide credits, shift d to duplicate, close original.

Select border frame, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste Paper3 as a new layer, resize 50% then again 75%, selections, invert, delete, select none, apply noise, hide original.

Select Opacity 44 Rectangle, use your color selection tool and recolor to match your supplies, drop to 30.

Select square, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste image of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Select larger gray rectangle, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste Paper4 as a new layer, resize 50% twice, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Copy & Paste scattered clovers as a new layer, resize 50% twice then again 65%, place above Opacity 44 Rectangle.

Now it's just a matter of adding and arranging your tubes, resizing if needed, add a drop shadow to each. The tubes I'm using are really cool for this as they have 4 tube layers which is where the fish tubes come in at.

Add clovers as you wish.

Copy & Paste word art as a new layer, resize and place to your liking, selections, select all, float, defloat, modify, expand 2, new raster layer, flood fill with a matching color, select none, move to the bottom, add drop shadow.

Using your preset shape rectangle foreground set on black 2.0, background set on null, draw out in the inside center (see my tag), covert to raster.

Add border 2 black.

Resize the canvas if you'd like.

Add copyright info and text and you're ready to save.

To make matching Avatar-
This tut was going to be just for the tag but as I finished creating it I thought it would look nice with an avatar. Either way the tag is cute. If you'd like to create a matching avatar-

Open a new canvas 150 x 150

Copy & Paste the merged layer of the previous tag as a new layer on the avatar canvas, crop.

Selections, select all, float, defloat, selections, modify, contract 6, selections, invert, copy & paste Paper3 as a new layer, resize 50% twice, selections, invert, delete, select none, add noise.

Use the preset shape rectangle foreground set at black 2.0, background null, place in the center.

Add border of 2.

Add copyright info and text and you're ready to save.

I hope you enjoyed this tut.

Please leave some love in my C-Box!
