Star Light


Star Light
This tutorial was written by Jenny on 6-07-2010. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the artwork of Octavia Cheetham. You need a license to use her artwork. I have a license through MyTagArt.

Supplies Needed:
1 tube of choice
Starlight Starbright FTU Scrapkit by Bastelgalaxy
missy_tagtemplate355 by Divine Intentionz
WSL_Mask260 by Weescotslass
Font of Choice (I'm using Vtks Revolt)

Open template, close credits and wordart, shift d to duplicate, close original.

Select background, new raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper of choice into selection, select none, apply mask.

Select Shape1, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste p01 as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Repeat on Shape 2 using p12.

Select circle background, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, flood fill with a matching color, select none, add some noise, hide original.

Select thinrectangle4, selections, select all, float, defloat,new raster layer, create a gradient using 2 colors from your supplies, flood fill, select none, apply noise, hide original.

Select Circle, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste p04 as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Select thin rectangle2, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster, flood fill with a matching color, select none, hide original.

Select inside the polariod with magic wand, copy & paste p02 as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, select none.

Copy & paste tube of choice as a new layer, position in the middle of the canvas, add drop shadow, duplicate,mirro, move over onto the polariod layer, select inside polariod again, selections, invert, delete on tube layer, select none, duplicate, adjust, blur, gaussian blur 3.00, right click, properties, overlay.

Select the white portion of the polariod, new raster layer, flood fill white, select none, add noise, bring this layer up over the inside of the polariod.

Select small circle, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste p17 as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Duplicate original tube again, mirror, place on the small circle, select small circle again, selections, invert, delete on tube layer, select none, right click, properties, drop the opacity down to around 70.

Select thin rectangle3, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, flood fill with another color of choice, selections, select none, hide original.

Repeat on the next thin rectangle using a different color.

Copy & Paste string01 as a new layer, mirror, add drop shadow, position on small circle.

Copy & Paste string02 as a new layer, resize 85%, mirror, add drop shadow, place upon the string01 layer.

Copy & Paste 2 of the roses of choice, resize to your liking, place to the right of the canvas, resizing one a bit smaller than the other, add drop shadow to each.

Copy & Paste flower04 as a new layer, place below the roses, add drop shadow.

Copy & Paste flower06 as a new layer, add drop shadow, free rotate right 90 degrees, place toward the bottom below the roses.

Add copyright info and text and you're now ready to save.
