An Evening Read

An Evening Read
This tutorial was written by Jenny on 6-25-2010. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the artwork of Mia Hopper. You need a license to use her artwork. I am licensed to her artwork through MyTagArt. You can now purchase her tubes through MyTubedArt.

Supplies Needed:
1 Tube of choice, 1-2 images of choice
Scrapkit of choice (I'm using PTU Yard Sale by Kat NKDA)
DMV Misfit Template01 by Vaybs
WSL_Mask236 by Weescotslass
Font of choice (I'm using TheNautiGal ROB, Angelic War, Luna Bar)

*If using the same kit as me- when resizing you will more than likely need to resize 50% twice then 60%.

Open template, hide credits, wordart, skulls, shift d to duplicate, close original.

Unhide Raster 1, new raster layer, select with magic wand, copy & paste paper of choice into selection, select none, apply mask.

Image, canvas size, change to 800 x 700 (we'll resize later), flood fill the excess with white so that it fills in the gaps.

Back on the mask layer, move upward to the right, duplicate, mirror, merge the 2 mask layers together, duplicate, flip, bring down just a bit.

Select Raster2, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste paper of choice as a new layer, resize if needed, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Repeat on Raster3 using a different paper.

Select Raster 4, repeat using another different paper.

Select Raster 5, selections, select all, float, defloat, new raster layer, flood fill with a matching color of choice, select none, add a subtle drop shadow, hide original.

On Raster 6 and dotty circle layer you will repeat using a different color.

Select Raster 7, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste image of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, mirror, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original, duplicate, adjust, blur, gaussian blur 3.00, right click, change blend mode to overlay.

Select Raster8, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste another paper of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original, add drop shadow.

Select Raster 10, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste image of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, selections, invert, delete, select none, duplicate, mirror, merge these 2 layers visible, duplicate, adjust, blur, gaussian blur 3.00, right click, blend mode overlay, hide original template layer.

Select Raster12, selections, select all, float, defloat, copy & paste image of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, copy & paste a paper of choice as a new layer, resize to your liking, selections, invert, delete on image layer, delete on paper layer, on paper layer drop the opacity down to your liking, duplicate the image layer and paper layer and mirror them both, now hide the original template layer.

Copy & Paste tube of choice, resize to your liking and position accordingly, add drop shadow if needed.

Copy & Paste embellishment of choice as a new layer, I'm using embellishment27, resize to your liking and adorn the film frame at the bottom, resize to your liking, add drop shadow.

I then used the key lock, flowers, clock and postcard to adorn the rest of the tag, resizing as needed, adding a drop shadow to each and placing to my liking.

Now you can crop down the image and resize to your liking.

Add copyright info and text and you're now ready to save.

Thank you for trying my tutorial. I hope you'll leave some love in my C-Box.
