He's Coming to Town

He's Coming to Town

This tutorial was written by Jenny on 11/26/2009. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the artwork of Sally Gilroy. You need a license to use her artwork. I have a license through MyTagArt.
You can now purchase her tubes through Scraps N Crap.

Supplies Needed:
1 Tube or image of choice
SG-Christmas Wishes PTU Scrapkit by Sally Gilroy
Licensed through MyTagArt no longer available
Template by Dezigns by Ali 93
Font of choice (I'm using BattleLines and Portfolio-Regular)

Open template by Ali, close credit layer, shift d to duplicate, close original.
Image, canvas size, 700 x 600, we'll resize later.
New raster layer, move to the bottom, flood fill white.

Select Raster6 with magic wand, copy & paste paper of choice (Raster25 from the kit) as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, select none.

Select Raster1 with magic wand, copy & paste another paper of choice as a new layer (Raster24 in the kit), selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original layer.

Select Raster8 with magic wand, new raster layer, flood fill with a color that compliments your scrapkit and tube, select none, add noise of choice, add a slight drop shadow, hide original layer.

Select Raster2 with magic wand, copy & paste another paper (Raster21 in kit) of choice and your tube as a new layer, resize if needed, selections, invert, delete, select none.

Repeat same step for Raster4 as you did for Raster8.

Select Raster3 with magic wand, copy & paste paper of choice (Raster27 in kit) as a new layer, selections, invert, delete, select none, hide original.

Repeat same step for Raster5 as with Raster8.

Now you can go through and add any elements or embellishments that you would like to add, resize them as needed, add drop shadows and place to your liking.

Now you can crop the canvas or resize it. Add copyright info and text and you are now ready to save.

Thank you for trying my tutorial. I would love to see your results.
