Vintage Ballerina

Vintage Ballerina

This tutorial was written by Jenny on 2-26-2009. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the artwork of Shawn Palek. You need to purchase a license from UpYourArt to use this artwork.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of choice (I'm using one by Shawn Palek check out UpYourArt for licensing info)
Vintage Floral PTU Scrapkit by Baby Cakes Scraps (awesome kit)
Mask of choice (I'm using my favorite by Weescotslass)
Font of choice (I'm using 1 BeanSprout DNA)

Open a new canvas 600 x 600 (you can resize later). Flood fill white.
Using a paper of choice apply the mask you want to use.
Copy and paste Stamp Frame as a new layer, add drop shadow.
Copy and paste doodle twon as a new layer, add drop shadow and move below the frame.
Copy and paste branch as a new layer, resize by 50% and then again by 85%, add drop shadow, move layer above frame, place so it is laying across the bottom part of the frame.
Now you want to duplicate the branch, free rotate 90 degrees, place in the middle of the tear of the frame, duplicate, image, mirror.
Copy and paste jewls of choice, resize if needed and place to your liking, add drop shadow.
Copy and paste flower of choice, resize if needed, add drop shadow and place above the branch layers that you rotated, move toward the bottom.
Copy and paste charm of choice as a new layer, resize if needed, rotate 5 degrees to the right, add drop shadow and place next to the flower layer.
Now for your tube layer....
Copy and paste tube of choice as a new layer, move below frame layer. You can keep the tube inside the frame or have it like mine by using your selection tool to select the parts you want above the frame, right click on the layer, promote selection to layer, move above all other layers. Add drop shadow to the original tube layer. If your tube doesn't fit the entire frame like mine does then you may want to add a paper behind it.
Copy and paste bow ribbon of choice as a new layer, place below the frame layer but above your tube layer and see my tag for placement. Resize if needed, add drop shadow.
Merge visible, add copyright info, text and you're done.

Hope you enjoyed my tutorial. I'd love to see your results.
