My Outdoor Friends

My Outdoor Friends

This tutorial was written by Jenny on 2-26-2009. Resemblance to any other tutorial is purely coincidental and unintentional. I am using the artwork of Amanda Fontaine. You need a license to use her artwork. I have a license through Artistic Minds Inc. Please visit her site for future licensing info.
You can also see below another example of this tut using artwork by Lacy Clagg.

Supplies Needed:
Tube of Choice (The one I'm using is by Amanda Fontaine, package 19 at AMI)
Spring-A-licious FTU Scrapkit by Cinnamon Scraps
Font of choice (I'm using Pea Mary Katie)

Open a new canvas 550 x 550 (resize later). Flood fill white.
Copy and paste paper of choice as a new layer, resize by 65%, add drop shadow.
Copy and paste another paper of choice as a new layer, resize by 65%, then again by 88%, free rotate 12 degrees right.
Copy and paste another paper of choice as a new layer, follow the above steps except change the rotate to the left.

Copy and paste doodle as a new layer, resize 90%, add drop shadow.
Copy and paste frame of choice as a new layer, resize, add drop shadow.
Copy and paste paper of choice, move below frame, using selection tool, cut off excess paper.
Copy and paste tree as a new layer, resize, move below frame layer, you can then use your selection tool to bring the top part of the tree above the frame by selecting the part you want, right clicking, promote selection to layer and move it above all otheres. Then add drop shadow to the original layer.

Copy and paste flower of choice, resize and move below frame, toward top right corner of canvas.
Copy and paste butterflies as a new layer, resize, add drop shadow and place to your liking.

Copy and paste grass as a new layer, resize and move below your tree layer.
Copy and paste the snake as a new layer, resize, add drop shadow, place above frame, in front of tree.

Copy and paste Tube of choice, resize if needed, add drop shadow, move to the right side of the frame.

Resize if you'd like or crop down a bit.

Add copyright info, Merge Visible, add text and you're done.

Below is a similar tag I made using the same kit and artwork by Lacy Clagg. You need a license to use her artwork. I am licensed through LCTS for these images. You can now purchase her tubes at Creative Design Outlet.
